Pediatric First Aid & CPR Certification Class

Nursery teachers, camps, playgroups & other child care providers

Certifies you in infant (0-12 months) and child (1-8 years) emergency skills. Get certified at your facility 7 days a week during mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends or holidays.

Although the Department of Health requires a minimum amount of teachers at day cares and other childcare facilities to pass a Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification class, we recommend a larger group if it seems worthwhile and would truly support your facility's need for handling pediatric emergencies and accidents.

What Is A Pediatric First Aid and CPR Certification Class?

It means for infants (0-12 months) and children (1-8 years) you've effectively learned primary and secondary emergency skills.

Primary emergencies include both infant and child CPR, infant and child rescue breathing and infant and child heimlich (conscious and unconscious).

First aid skills (including how to react to secondary emergencies) is also part of this class, like diagnosing and treating eye injuries, head injuries, bleeding, seizures, poisoning, allergic reactions and more unplanned accidents. Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification and recertification classes are usually 4-5 hours.

Many New York and New Jersey schools and day care centers have taken our class. We also teach playgroups, camps and other child care providers.

Class participants are certified at the end of class, upon successful completion of a certification exam. We also teach recertification (shorter) classes if your existing certification card is valid. Certifications are usually valid two years.
